*** Intro to MIG Welding or MIG Welding experience is required before taking this class ***

In this class, students will learn how to fabricate an end table base out of mild steel from start to finish!

From learning how to read a drawing, to measuring, cutting, drilling, tapping, layout, clamping, welding, and blending - students will experience robust use of the metal shop with the following tools:

  • measuring tools

  • horizontal band saw

  • drill press

  • taps

  • clamps

  • MIG welder

  • angle grinder and cut off wheel

  • pneumatic tools

After these two class sessions, students will have a 24” x 18” base to an end table. Come take a class in our wood shop to learn how to make a top for it!

All materials, PPE will be provided, as well as some snacks and drinks!. Four students max. 

** Classes are transferable up to 48 hours before class, but not refundable.
