Art Camp for Teens in July - Around the World with Art
9am-12pm (ages 12-15)
2pm-5pm (ages 16-19)
$375 tuition for the week, $50 materials
Art Immersion with Famous Artists from Around the World:
Delve into our 3 hour art class where each day of the week will feature a different artist and medium. Learn skills and techniques used by these artists to create your own unique artworks. Meet new friends who share your passion for creative expression, and come home with five completed artworks and more knowledge about those inspiring artists. Bring a snack and water for a short break.
Day One: Georgia O’Keeffe (American early 20th century modern) inspired acrylic paintings looking at real flowers.
Day Two: Frida Kahlo (Mexican 20th century modern) inspired personalized self portraits with colored pencils.
Day Three: Vassily Kandinsky (early 20th century abstract Russian artist) inspired oil pastel abstract drawings.
Day Four: Paul Cezanne (late 19th century post impressionist) inspired still life drawing in pencil and charcoal.
Day Five: Romare Bearden (mid 20th century modern American artist) inspired mixed media collage figurative scenes.
All materials provided.
Marla Faith is a Nashville artist (marlafaith.com), who has over 40 years teaching experience in schools and museums in Nashville New York, and Chicago.
