Metal Fabrication 1 will go over the use of the most essential metal working tools: the horizontal bandsaw, angle grinder, and MIG welder. Students will learn how to safely cut different types of steel stock, weld them together, and finish them with grinding tools. Each student will get hands-on practice with each tool, and leave with a small finished project. With these three tools, students will leave with the basic skills and safety practices to build an infinite number of steel projects on their own. All materials and PPE will be provided. 4 students max.
